At Metro Tennis, we work closely with local schools across Southfields, Wimbledon and south-west London to deliver high-quality tennis coaching programmes that inspire and develop young players within the school environment. Our school coaching is designed to complement PE lessons or provide after-school clubs, catering to all abilities – from complete beginners to budding competitors.

Our Offer for Schools

• Curriculum-aligned tennis sessions: 
  • Structured coaching that introduces fundamental tennis skills such as racket handling, footwork, and basic strokes in a fun and supportive way. For older or more advanced students, sessions include match play, tactics, and physical conditioning.
• After-school clubs and holiday programmes: 
  • Regular group coaching that promotes fitness, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game, tailored to different age groups from Key Stage 1 through to secondary school years.
• One-to-one and small group coaching: 
  • Targeted support to help young players improve specific techniques or prepare for school or club competitions.

  • Specially designed sessions to ensure children with special educational needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds can participate fully, develop confidence, and experience the joy of tennis in a supportive environment.

  • All sessions are led by LTA-certified coaches experienced in working with children, fully DBS checked and aware of safeguarding standards, ensuring a safe and motivating environment.

  • We work with schools to fit coaching sessions around their schedules and facility availability, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum impact.
